I think “Super capacity” is overhype, and that cost it a star. I don’t notice any more capacity than the original Apple battery had. But for about half the price, this is a good buy. Another review said it has a cheap plastic case that bends like a credit card. It does–at the edges. But it fits well and does the job.
The instructions say to fully charge the battery overnight. I did. Next day, I unplugged from the charger, and the battery indicator showed over 3 hours capacity remaining. After about an hour, the MacBook shut down without warning. This happened three times in a row. Then I read the f**king directions, which say that the MB may have trouble recognizing a new battery. Remove it and re-install. I did. Now it works.
On the next full charge, I got well over 3 hours’ use from the battery, beating the crap out of it with full screen brightness, high performance, wi-fi, and no HD shutdown. So far, so good. I’ve had it about a month now with no problems. Maybe it does have more capacity than the original battery. I got over three hours’ use out of it at full throttle.
The reason I replaced the original battery was that the old battery swelled up in the middle, putting pressure on the track-pad and causing the MacBook to act as though the mouse button was always pressed.
